I’M MIKE POND.

I am a lifelong Southwest Washington resident, union organizer, and proud Democrat who believes real change happens when working people come together and build power. I have spent my career showing up for people when things feel stacked against them.

For years, I’ve worked alongside everyday people across Southwest Washington. Helping folks fight for better wages, safer workplaces, and the dignity every person deserves on the job and in their community. As an organizer with SEIU 775, the union representing home care workers, I’ve sat at kitchen tables, walked picket lines, and helped workers win real improvements in their lives. I’ve spent my life bringing people together to solve problems that politicians too often ignore.

This community raised me, shaped me, and trusted me to lead. I’m not coming to politics from the outside; I’ve been doing this work on the ground for years.

I believe the government should work the same way organizing does: listen first, bring people together, and then get things done.
